Adding Areas to Articles and Pages
Pages and articles are assigned by default to the main category. Personal changes can be made directly using the WP etracker Widget from within the respective content.
Adding Page Name to Articles and Pages
The WordPress titles are automatically used as the page names. The page names can be changed manually. To do so, simply change the name below the respective content in the Widget WP etracker.
The URLs are automatically sent to etracker and cannot be changed.
Dynamic page views
Dynamic page views, for example, with Ajax functionality, are transferred automatically. Here, check the compatibility list at the end of this page to see if the plugin you use is supported.
Monitoring different language versions
If you use the WPML plugin, areas will be automatically split up into different languages. Here, language abbreviations are used, for example:
a. German version: DE_Gesamt/DE_Shop/DE_category3
b. English version: EN_Gesamt/EN_Shop/EN_category3
Tracking internal searches
Search queries via an internal search are automatically tracked and forwarded to etracker.
The following events can be tracked with the etracker plugin:
- Tracking downloads
- Tracking internal and external clicks
- Tracking music players (start/stop/play/etc.)
- Tracking video players (start/stop/play/etc.)
- Tracking galleries (start/stop/play/etc.)
Here, check the compatibility list at the end of this page to see which WordPress plugins are supported in the current etracker plugin version.
Assigning articles comments to a shared area
This option can be found within the settings of the etracker plugin inside your WordPress dashboard under Plugins
etracker. Here you can select one or more categories. All entries inside this category will then be assigned directly to the area beneath it.
Assigning articles of single pages to an area
Similarly, in the plugin settings you have the option to assign sub-articles of one or more pages to an individual area. All articles which are assigned to there will be overwritten by the new area.
Automatically Overwrite Articles (Yes/No)
If this function is activated in the plugin settings, all manual changes will be overwritten when the page name or the category of an article changes.
