Frequently asked questions about etracker analytics

How do I book an etracker analytics license?

You can easily book your etracker analytics license via the application. Simply follow these steps.

Can I only book my etracker license after the trial period has ended?

No, you can already book your etracker license during the trial period. Of course, the term of your booked license only begins after your trial period has expired. Simply follow these steps.

What do I do if I need a quote?

If you need a quote for an etracker license, please contact our Customer Service: service@etracker.com.

Is there a set-up fee?

Additional fees may only be incurred for individual and manual configurations and for setting up client systems with multiple accounts. If applicable, we indicate these transparently in the offer.

Do I have to cancel my test?

No. You can use etracker analytics Enterprise free of charge for 30 days without providing payment details and without any obligation. At the end of the test period, you can choose the tariff that suits you best. Termination is not required. You must explicitly request an upgrade to a paid edition.

Can I use one etracker account for several websites?

An account also defines an access account for reporting and combines all settings and reports for a website and/or an app. An account is always assigned exactly one account ID, which can be found in the individual tracking code that is integrated into the source code of the website or app. All interactions measured via the tracking code with the unique ID are assigned to the respective account, regardless of the associated main or sub-domain.

In principle, it is therefore possible to record the data of several websites in a joint account. However, this usually makes the individual evaluation of each website via filters very difficult and sometimes even impossible.

We therefore recommend using separate accounts for independent websites. Internal areas, stores or blogs directly linked to a website, on the other hand, should be recorded within an account in order to be able to analyze the related visits and click paths. Analyses across several websites or accounts can be created via our reporting interface, for example in MS Excel.

What does the “Multi-Account Management” function in the Enterprise Edition mean?

If a company or agency manages several etracker accounts, these can be linked together. Additional accounts are assigned to an account and the various accounts can be accessed via single sign-on (SSO) without having to log in and out again. This is independent of invoice receipt, which can be defined individually for each account.

Can different users be assigned different rights?

Yes. An unlimited number of users can be added to an etracker account. These are divided into a (main) user and other co-users. Authorization profiles or roles can be used to assign the respective authorizations to the individual users.

If other accounts are assigned to an account as part of multi-account management, you can also specify for each user which of the accounts can/may be accessed.

What are the advantages of a collective license?

If several accounts are used by an organization, these accounts can be assigned to a so-called collective license (also known as an account collection) when using the Enterprise Edition, for which a collective invoice is automatically created. A decisive advantage is that the hit quota is defined globally for the collective license and the price calculation is based on this. With several accounts, this results in a considerable price advantage compared to individual licensing. The bundling of quotas also creates additional flexibility. The assignment of accounts to a collective license only affects billing. The multi-client function also enables single sign-on here.

What happens if my quota of hits is exceeded?

No problem. Hits exceeding the booked quota will be invoiced monthly in accordance with the overflow rule agreed at the time of booking. The booked contingent can be increased at any time.

Are there notice periods?

Yes. If you come to the conclusion that etracker is not the right analytics platform for your online business, you can easily cancel up to four weeks before the end of the service period. No termination is required at the end of the trial period or free service periods.

How long is the contract period?

All fee-based etracker tariffs run for at least 12 months. Two and three-year terms are also possible. We offer a 5% discount on the two-year term and a 10% discount on the three-year term for advance payment.
