to welcome you to our team with passion!

Together with a team of system administrators and DevOps, you will look after our entire server landscape and internal infrastructure. We work with an up-to-date technology stack of self-operated Kubernetes clusters in our data center in Hamburg. Our software is tested and deployed as microservices via CI/CD pipelines. Continuous optimization of our services and processes through automation is a matter of course for us. Each of us can play our part in this: whether in data processing in the big data environment, in the management of our infrastructure – virtual or physical – or in the office area.

Automation, infrastructure as code and team play a central role for us. High-availability systems help us to avoid downtime. Nevertheless, a 24/7 on-call service is part of our team play in order to rectify unexpected faults in an emergency.

Your tasks with us

  • Active further development of our systems and continuous review of requirements
  • Installation and configuration of software via Chef (or Helm in the Kubernetes environment) – Infrastructure as Code
  • Maintenance and further development of monitoring (Zabbix, Prometheus)
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks in our own data center
  • Sustainable elimination of operational disruptions
  • Setting up and commissioning new servers (physical and virtual)
  • Support with challenges in the desktop environment on all platforms (Linux, Windows and MacOS)
  • Procurement and installation of hardware in the server and desktop environment
  • Management and administration of accounts, e-mail mailboxes, firewall rules, etc.
  • Participation in the rotating on-call duty (approx. every 4 weeks)

We wish

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • In-depth experience in the administration and further development of a Linux server environment (Debian and Ubuntu)
  • secure handling of network components (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, etc.)
  • several years of experience in the automation of tasks through scripting in a language of your choice
  • Ideally knowledge of configuration management with Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • If possible, know-how in the administration of a virtualization platform based on Proxmox PVE, KVM or VMware vSphere
  • an affinity for infrastructure as code and containerization
  • High sense of responsibility and service
