An account also defines an access account for reporting and combines all settings and reports for one website and/or app. An account is always assigned exactly one account ID, which is found in the individual tracking code that is integrated into the source code of the websites or the app. All interactions measured via the tracking code with the unique ID are assigned to the respective account, regardless of the associated main or sub-domain.
In principle, it is therefore possible to collect the data of several web presences in a common account. However, this usually makes the individual evaluation of each website via filters very difficult and sometimes even impossible.
We therefore recommend using separate accounts for independent websites. On the other hand, internal areas, stores or blogs directly linked to a website should be recorded within one account in order to analyze the related visits and click paths. Analyses across several websites or accounts can be created via our reporting interface, for example in MS Excel.
If a company or agency manages several etracker accounts, these can be linked together as multi-clients. In this case, additional accounts, so-called clients, are assigned to one account and a single sign-on can be used to switch to the client accounts without having to log in and out again. This is independent of the invoice receipt, which can be defined individually for each account.
Yes. An unlimited number of users can be added to an etracker account. These are divided into a main user and co-users. Authorization profiles or roles can be used to assign the respective rights to each individual user.
If different accounts are assigned to one account as clients (so-called Multi Website Management), it is also possible to define for each user which of the clients can/may be accessed.
If an organisation uses several accounts, when using the Enterprise Edition these accounts can be assigned to a so-called account collection, for which a collected invoice is automatically created. A decisive advantage is that the tracking request quota is defined globally for the account collection and the price calculation is based on this. With multiple accounts, this results in a considerable price advantage compared to single licensing. In addition, the bundling of the contingents creates additional flexibility. The assignment of accounts to account collections only affects billing. The multi-client function also enables a single sign-on here.
