How does etracker work?
etracker uses pixel technology, which loads an invisible tracking pixel with each page impression. This enables the system to track and record all relevant statistical data about visitor behavior and to make this information available in real-time.
Do you provide support for integrating my etracker code?
The etracker support helpdesk is free of charge and open from 9.00am to 6.00pm (CET) on Monday to Thursday, and from 9.00am to 5.00pm (CET) on Friday. You can contact the helpdesk by calling +49 (0) 40 55 56 59 77 or by sending an e-mail to: support(please remove)@etracker(please remove).com. Your etracker account also features a context-sensitive online help function for each menu item.
Can I exclude my own IP address from the count?
Yes. To ensure that your own access to your website does not distort or interfere with the analyses, there are two options for excluding your own page impressions from the statistics. You can either set a cookie in your web browser, if you have a dynamic IP address, or simply by excluding your fixed IP address(es).
What software and hardware do I need to use etracker?
To use any of the etracker products all you need is a standard computer, an Internet connection, and an up-to-date web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, Chrome). Each of the etracker products is a state-of-the-art SaaS application, which means that all of the products and data are stored and hosted either on servers in the etracker’s professional data centre or on an in-house server hosted by your company.
Do I have to install any software in order to use etracker’s products?
You do not have to install or maintain any software. In order for etracker to be able to track and analyze visitors to your website, you need to include an HTML code snippet (also called a tracklet code) in the web pages that you want to analyze. That is all it takes to get started. You will receive the tracklet code immediately when you log in to your account (or trial account).
Will etracker affect how quickly my website loads?
No, etracker does not affect the loading time of your website.
Can the etracker tracklet code also be stored in a separate file?
Yes. All of the JavaScript components of the etracker tracklet codes can be stored in an external file.
Can the etracker tracklet code be used in a frameset?
Yes. Enter the etracker tracking code on those pages in the frameset that are refreshed. Ideally, only in the files that are loaded in the main frame.
Is the etracker Web Analytics application able to handle multiple URL`s per account?
Yes. All etracker products are fully multi-client enabled.
